Spirit Winds Ranch Boone NC Bed and Breakfasts & Nature Retreats

Dick and I have been in the process of building the ranch for the past 4 years. We bought this magnificent land 5 years ago, without a road or structure on it. The ranch complex - the main house, guest lodges, 3 barns, decks, outside covered kitchen & dining area, a 24' tipi, 4 outbuildings, and an outdoor riding ring - is situated on 106 acres. We sit high in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina (4,000 - 5,000 foot elevation). We officially opened our doors in 2003.

Northern Exposure Lodge and the Santa Fe Lodge

The main ranch house (with our new 2004 large inside dining room / meeting facility) is a short distance from our guest rooms. Our guest rooms are located in the Santa Fe Lodge and the Northern Exposure Lodge. These spacious new rooms offer private bathrooms, gas fireplaces, hardwood floors, heavy beams, a private entrance, a sitting area, and sliding doors which open to a deck with awesome views. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms.

On our main deck we have grills, tables, and chairs for your outdoor enjoyment. This is a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The covered outside kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove, and oven. The attached covered dining area is great if you choose to eat outside, but prefer not to be in the sun. Either way, you can still experience the wonderful outdoors.
